You need to have your application completed by the 15th to have a plan start on the 1st of the next month.

Remember outside of open enrollment you can only purchase a health insurance plan with a qualifying event. If you’ve recently loss coverage and are looking for a new insurance plan you need to sign up by the 15th to have coverage by the 1st of the following month. For example if you lose coverage June 30th and you want to have a health plan in place the first of July you need to sign up by the 15th of June.
