Question #55 What is CHIP?

Published on October 21, 2015

What is CHIP?

CHIP stands for Children’s Health Insurance Program. CHIP provides Low-Cost Insurance for Children. This Health Insurance Program covers children in homes that don’t qualify for Medicaid. In some cases, depending on the State, it can cover parents and pregnant women as well.

Well checks and dental are free!! However, co-pays sometimes apply for other procedures.

Another great thing about CHIP, is that you can apply and enroll anytime of the year!!

Want to know if you or your children qualify? Check out the link below.
